A 6 WEEK SELF-PACED ONLINE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR EDUCATORS, FAMILY SUPPORT STAFF and PLAYGROUP PRACTITIONERS WORKING WITH CHILDREN AGED   0-5 YEARS.

An exploration of the ways children relate, communicate and behave. We will explore brain development and the relationship of this to children’s ways of being and relating and the reciprocal relationship between this, attachment and trauma. We’ll look at how you as educators can support children by creating safe and secure physical and emotional environments whilst keeping yourself at the forefront of your own wellbeing in the process.

At the end of the professional development you will understand the implications of children’s experiences, their development and the way you as an educator can support children and their learning to reach their potential.

Your learning materials will show the relationship to Teaching standards for NESA Teaching identified PD, NQS and EYLF. Each module is equivalent to 1 hour of learning.

The Journey to Reconciliation in Action - Getting started

Creating authentic learning environments and experiences for children means creating a space where children, families and communities feel safe, respected, and welcomed.  This includes embedding the varying cultural backgrounds and experiences of the staff, children, families who are part of the Early Learning Service, as well as the broader community in which it is placed. 

To get to that place we need to set the foundation, so this professional development opportunity is for educators and services who are thinking about Reconciliation and developing an Reconciliation Action Plan.  At the end of the professional development you will be on your way to submitting your services RAP.

The learning consists of 4 self-paced modules for you to review and learn either individually or as a team. Your learning materials will show the relationship to Teaching standards for NESA Teaching identified PD, NQS and EYLF. Each module is equivalent to 1 hour of learning.
